Review: The two stars are for the director and the front desk staff!The facility is beautiful and the front desk staff is nice! I really love the elderly people and I hope that God grants me a long life to become apart of a senior community.Yesterday, I had an interview for a resident care coordinator. The director of the community is awesome and had a great attitude. Isbael !I ended up rejecting my application because of the office manager “currently”, her attitude towards me was very condescending. I have over ten years of experience in assisted living facilities as both Med Tech, Care giver, and as a Resident Care Coordinator. Not only that but, I have a bachelors in Health Sciences and other skills and experience related to geriatric care.I explained my skills to the director not the officer manager during the interview.There is one job that I have on my resume that I don’t use as a reference, but as experience. The office manager was so adamant to call the company to verify, and stated and assumed that I must be hiding something. Which is why I don’t want her to call . I explained that I had plenty of references that I could give. Then she said why do I have my school job on my resume, well I believe you only need the last five years of experience on your resume.Instead of the back and forth I just said you know, please reject my application.I felt so insulted, especially when she said “well how do we know if you can do the job” it was like an insult especially when she didn’t give me the interview Isbael did.Lastly , everyone knows if you worked in one assisted living you can work in them all. Experience, education, and training makes someone able to do the job not a reference.I had a several reference I could have given. However, I can honestly see why companies have high turnover rates due to staff superiority.I explained my references to Isbael during the interview, and she never mentioned anything else.I just wanted to leave this message, because I honestly felt really insulted by the officer mangers attitude and tone.She made me feel really uncomfortable, so I could only imagine how it would have been if I would have worked there.
