Review: My elderly father stayed here several weeks while recovering from a near-death medical emergency. The staff are excellent and cared about my father's emotional and physical well being. The food was tasty, he really liked it, and very healthy even for his diabetic diet. The building is older, but don't let that fool you. My father stayed at a fancier-looking rehab a few years ago just a couple miles away. But he told me several times he preferred his stay in Granada Hills Care Center, saying the staff were all really nice. They often encouraged him when he practiced walking down the hallways. Whenever I had questions about his progress, the nurse scheduled a meeting with me so we could discuss everything and all my questions were answered. When I visited him, we met in the nice green garden outside, which is a very nice touch, so much nicer than him saying inside all the time. Residents are allowed to go outside into the garden with fresh air. The physical therapy was super helpful, I met the therapist several times and really appreciate the quality care he gave my father. If dad needs to go to rehab again, I will take him back to this facility.
