Review: In the five years that I have lived at the facility, I have found the staff to be friendly, capable, and caring. The building itself is clean and in working order and the dining fare is on par with what can be expected at most assisted-living facilities. The Administrator and her assistants are all-hands-on-deck when it comes to the needs of the resident, tirelessly working on their behalf, regardless of what hour of the day or night. Compared to other facilities in which I have lived, including a slum-lord in one of the most beautiful neighborhoods in West Hollywood, Golden Assisted Living Facility is a gem. It is in a nice area of Sylmar, a sleepy suburb in the east San Fernando Valley, adjacent to shopping centers, nearby parks, city library and a swimming arena. Born and raised in Koreatown, after moving around a bit a finally settling, this is my final resting place and happily so.
